Mark E Smith is dead, and this time it's final.
I guess I won't bore myself or anyone else talking about the first Fall record I bought or that first time I heard "Repetition". One thing I will say, though: once you get into the music of The Fall, every other band becomes irrelevant. And Smith? As John Cooper Clarke once put it, 'the head honcho of the greatest group in the world'. Indeed.
In these times of bland people doing bland things, 'missed' wouldn't begin to cover it. Mark E Smith may have been a jerk, but what an absolute fucking genius.
